About The Castle Players

The Castle Players are a diverse bunch of people who all have one thing in common, a love of theatre and performance. Everyone is welcome. We have a mix of ages, professions and talents within the group which is what makes being part of it so unique.

Over many years we have established a reputation for presenting large-scale, high quality outdoor productions each summer.

​

During the autumn we perform in more traditional theatre spaces, including The Witham in Barnard Castle and The Georgian Theatre Royal, Richmond.

​

In the winter months we take to the road, touring small-scale productions to rural community centres and village halls.

​

The Castle Players have delighted in bringing shows from far & wide, well known and 'off the wall' to the good folk of Teesdale and Co. Durham.​​​
