Our Summer 2025 production - Shakespeare in Love will feature a large cast of over twenty actors and musicians and is a delightful romantic comedy transporting audiences back to Shakespeare’s London in a production full of energy, evocative music, spectacle and love.

 

According to Director Gordon Duffy-McGhie, “the production marks the resurgence of the traditional Castle Players’ summer production. A lot of time and effort has gone into considering how we can make our productions more intimate, celebratory and sustainable.

 

​Whether you're interested in being on stage or helping behind the scenes, come along to the open meeting! You will find out more about the play, the Director’s vision and chat informally to the people who ‘make the magic happen’, including Props, Set Building, Make-Up, Music, Costume and Marketing and Front of House.

We are now in the early production stages and meetings take place very regularly to cover everything from design, build and rehearsals.
